About Me

When I’m not investigating the nature of night sky, I could just as easily be reading Dune, playing Final Fantasy, cooking an eggplant parmesan or discussing postmodernism with friends. I’m a runner, a cyclist, a (bad) tennis player, a political pundit, a chef and a writer all rolled into one. As always though, I am very much a movie nut and I can lose hours getting lost in magazines.
When I look at the future, career looms very important. The luck of the draw made me someone who loves to overanalyze, and thus analyze I shall - hopefully in a tenure-track position at a major North American university. Also important for me in terms of what I want out of life, is a loving family and lots of wonderful friends. Life is only lived once, that’s only another eighty years (eighty healthy years crossing my fingers :) ), and there’s so much to see, discovering new astrophysical properties, finishing an Ironman, raising children and watching them grow up, the amazon rainforest, the ruins of the incas, so much to know, so much to read… no one can ever do it all, but I damn well intend to try to do as much as possible.
For 2008, I’ll be a bit less ambitious :-) My goals for this year are to publish my first two papers, and to complete either a triathlon or a half-marathon.
